Grieving for the loss of a pet, whether through death, parting or enforced separation, can be a sad and difficult experience. Life once filled with the love and friendship of a pet may suddenly seem very empty and feelings of deep sadness and loneliness are not uncommon.
Sometimes it helps to share these feelings with someone who knows, from personal experience, how distressing the loss of a pet can be and who will listen with compassion and without judgement. At St Giles Pet Cremations we are there to talk to and offer our help as much as possible at this time.

What happens when my pet passes away?
Firstly, we are truly sorry for your loss. When your pet passes, you can contact us and we will guide you through the next steps with care and compassion. We can arrange collection from your home or veterinary practice, or you are welcome to bring your pet to us by appointment.
What types of cremation do you offer?
We offer Individual Cremation. Your pet is cremated individually and their ashes are returned to you.
How long does the cremation process take?
The cremation takes place on the day we receiving your pet. Ashes are typically ready for return within 2–5 days, depending on your chosen service. We will always keep you informed.
Will I definitely receive my pet’s ashes?
Yes. With an individual cremation, you will receive only your pet’s ashes, handled with the utmost dignity and respect throughout the entire process.
What should I do if my pet passes away outside of your normal opening hours?
If your pet passes away when we are closed, please don’t worry. You may keep your pet in a cool, quiet place at home until we reopen and then contact us. We will assist you as soon as we are open.
How should I care for my pet until collection?
Place your pet on a blanket or towel in a cool area. If possible, gently wrap them and keep them in the coolest room in your home. This helps preserve them until we can assist you.
